Modesta Malu had decided to change her environment and routine by relocating to another area for school and to gain better employment opportunities. She had to adapt to new educational paradigm and even health care and cultural expectations that, of course, created much stress. The family and friends equipped her with words of encouragement and helped her with chores that could interfere with the journey. They believed in her competence which in turn gave her the morale to come through the challenges that she faced while practicing her profession.

Modesta remembers a favorite saying of her late father, “Pray for wisdom in the event of hard times.” To her, these words were powerful because they gave her a sense of direction and optimism in even the most desperate of situations. Moesta wants time to break free and spend more time with her family members after immersing her energy in her job.
